I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Classics. After Oxford, I joined the UK civil service on its fast-track graduate trainee scheme, where I honed my writing skills on government policy documents, parliamentary answers and Ministerial speeches and correspondence.
I then moved on to work for a political risk consultancy and subsequently in politics. I wrote speeches and drafted correspondence and briefing papers for Ministers and leading party spokespeople.
This experience proved a stepping-stone into the world of communications consultancy, where I drafted a wide range of materials, from position papers and policy submissions to speeches and major reports.
More recently, I acquired a Diploma (with Distinction) in Editing and Proofreading from the College of Media and Publishing, and have taken the Publishing Training Centre’s Essential Proofreading course (with Merit).
My clients now range from companies and professional bodies to individuals, including students who need their dissertation or thesis proofreading.
